Rylee brings over 20 years of professional cookery experience to Culinarius. She began her career in 1998 with mentors Vicky Harris and Nadine McCristal at the popular eatery Twocan in Manly, Sydney. Under their mentorship, Rylee’s passion for great food grew as did her career.
Rylee made the move down to Wollongong in 2006 to work as Head Chef in some of the Illawarra’s most popular restaurants. Rylee taught cooking classes at the Wests Illawarra Leagues Club, sharing her knowledge with local women intending to get into the food industry. She also became a judge at the TAFE World Skills Competition in Wollongong in the pursuit of seeking out new talent to mentor.
Rylee describes her cooking style as modern, clean cooking with a twist. She loves to play around with recipes and give her customers something delicious but unexpected.
When Rylee isn’t mentoring Culinarius’ young apprentices, you will find her scouring the markets and op-shops for vintage cookware or experimenting with her home-baking
